What do you mean "everything but production firmware"? If you are an authorized Ricoh trained tech, you have access to rfg-esource. Just because you do not have access certain types of equipment on TSRC, there should no such restrictions on rfg-esource.

Ill try to explain . Replaced a 1107ex with 50mill that died and my wholesaler had a 8210s with 300k. so I swapped it out. They run pdf batches of files that the first page is letter size summary page and the next 20 files are 11x17 stapled. Always prints 1st summary page and the next 20 files without jamming but when next letter size summary page goes into finisher it doesn't eject it out and jams with the 11x17 paper. Then runs fine until next letter summary page and jams again. Sometimes it will go 3 batches without jamming but most its always the 2nd batch. Tried 2 different finishers but it does same. Tried firmware today. The issue seems to be when it switches from 11x17 to the 1 letter size print it confuses the finisher causing it not to eject it before the next 11x17 file goes in finisher. Iam thinking it might be a timing issue in machine now. Going back in morning to clean paper path and sensors.

It almost sounds to me like it is not properly separating jobs so the summary page is not being properly separated from either the previous job or the next job.

Are these copy or print jobs?

It makes a world of difference.

Printing only. If I run copies it never jams. Only when it switches from 11x17 to the letter page printing.

                          A few questions, then:

                          1. What application?

                          2. What driver and version?

                          3. Is this using a Fiery or the internal print controller?

Sounds to me like it is the way they are sending the print jobs is resulting with no proper end of job being sent between jobs. A good indication would be if after as jam it restarts the job that had finished from the start and not restarting with the cover sheet of the next job. They may need to change the spool settings for the driver to Start Printing After Last Page is Spooled

Tried all the current drivers even postscript. Even tried the 1107ex driver that works fine with all their 1107s. The don't think its driver or application because I had 3 batches of files work fine today. Had them run the same 3 files that ran fine again, and it jammed after 1st and 2nd batch. So, it's not the files causing it. It only jams the letter cover page. Once you clear jam the cover page comes out with the rest with no jams. The rest of the afternoon they have been just sending 1 batch of 20 files at a time and works fine. I will eventually need to replace all these 1107 so hopefully it's not a problem with this machine.

This place has been running these files on the 1107ex which we have 15 there with no issues for years. When the one died I could only fine the 8210 so I assume they were about the same.
