    SC623-00

    Hello everyone. I have a MP9002SP that randomly gives me the fault SC623-00. Turning the machine off and on normally goes.
    I have checked the wiring and updated the firmware but still with the problem. any ideas?

      Directly from the service manual:
      BCU-PFB communication error
      • Harness connectors between BCU and PFB loose, broken, disconnected
      • Serial line connection unstable
      • External noise on the line
      • BCU defective
      • PFB defective

          Got this from another forum, hope it helps.

          "Had this problem today. The SC623 was coupled with an intermittent "load tray 1" message. On the right tandem tray, I found the black wiring harness that runs next to the front solenoid, was shorting out against the middle slide rail. The wire harness ran even with the black plastic rail slide. I taped the harness back up and using a zip tie, routed it away from the slide rail."

                  check integrety and reset cable from PFB and BCU, and check fuse FU105

                      replace the harness (D0625701) that goes to feed assy 1,2,3. runs under the waste toner bottle. its pretty easy to replace. that fixed 1 of mine and the soleniod wiring on right side being cut was a fix for the other issue i had.

                          Being somewhat random and if the wiring does not show problems of damaged wires, I would try to use some Ferrite Core, to attenuate the electrical noise.
