Ricoh Mpc 2504ex power on then off

It started after Florida hurricane came through. Turn copier on comes up to the point where icon might be display then says shutting down. I think it is dc power supply on the image processor board where power is 3 yellow wires and 2 black wires. 2 have 5 vdc and other has nothing going to look at wire diagram.

Try powering on with the front door opening. This will prevent fusing unit initialization, portions of POST and other engine startup routines that may be giving an error. If it then does not shut down, enter SP and check the setting of automatic restart on error as it could be preventing you from seeing a SC.

As for the power supply voltages, you may have a component that was shorted out by a surge during the hurricane. I had a Pro 1357 that had a tray 1 feed motor short out. As soon as the 24V for the motors tried to initialize it went down. Took some time the trace what was causing it.

That's usually a sign the ops panel main board has died.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

          I agree.
I had an IMC the other week where the panel would get as far as the sunrise screen and then reboot.
Replaced the panel and it's working again.
Mine was also due to interrupted power due to storms.

Did you try to boot the smart panel into recovery mode to reload the panel operating system?

We've had a few of this issue display shows 'shutting down' then powers off after around 5-10 seconds.

Each instance replacing the controller board resolved the issue.
