It does seem like most of the basic protocol session set-up works from the fact that a file is created at all.

Conversion from .tmp file to final file name schema will be in the latter part of the SMB session and any problems with it could show-up. (non-unique name schema)

The Wireshark capture will be accurate evidence you need to escalate the issue if you suspect a firmware/API problem and rule out the basic 'suspect' network issues that will be suggested as a fix. However stick to one environment for reporting and testing or the results are viewed as 'not definitive' (anecdotal)

It will also verify the ACTUAL SMB version which is negotiated with the server BUT only if done onsite.

SMB version negotiation is determined by the "server" or computer sharing the file. The MFP offers up all enabled versions (dialects) for the "server' to determine.

The firmware could work fine for one dialect but not for another, but only the network session will tell the tale.

Best to connect a laptop directly onto the MFP and try the WIM and Scan to folder directly onto the laptop. my hunch is it will work.

I also had the same issue

IM C2500 - scan to folder = 0kb - its not the MFP
