Look back at the first page.

It's a screen shot of the WIM in one of the machines, showing the MAC address.

That view does not come from the router, at least AFAIK. It's hard coded into the network card of the MFP.

BTW...There is constant confusion (and one of my pet peeves) on CTN with "MAC" being short for "Macintosh". They are NOT the same thing.

"Mac" = "Macintosh"

"MAC" = "Media Access Control"

yes, I had seen it, (I don't understand what he did?).
..my boss thinks that the machine's hostname has been changed several times, and the previous traces are still stored in the router, but obviously with the same mac-address, a bit, like when for example you see on your google account some devices that have been connected to the network, even if they are no longer present.
