    MP C305SPF - Oups, I did a big mistake

    Hello everyone,
By wanting to clean my MP C305SPF, I think I made a mistake.
I dusted everything off and removed the black drum to clean (just the black).
When it is put back into service, it's a disaster and I don't know what to do:

I'm afraid I've killed the drum.

    Thanks for your help

I would suspect either a dirty laser shield glass or laser unit.

Did you vacuum out the PCDU? That looks like developer depletion to me.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

There's your problem. I'm guessing definitely not a tech...

i don't believe that part is gonna come with what is needed? sounds like it just needs new powder? yes i did not use the correct term for a reason. im not here to make that process to fix it simple. as a former employee used to say. it's like a baby, you gotta powder its behind. lol

Just an excellent example of how a little information is a dangerous thing.

Last month I had a customer call in morning that Toner waste box was full. Told them Ill be there in about an hour with one. Walked in and changed waste box but meter sheet was almost completely blank, so I did a test color sheet and also blank. Then their IT guy came up and said he dump the waste boxes, but it didn't reset machine. He removed each IU and sat there and dump out all the developer. still don't know how he got them so empty, and it didn't code out after i changed waste box. Now needs 4 DVs. Owner was not happy with this invoice.

I understand that this is laughable and no, I am not a technician. I turned over the PDCU and toner came out of the hole. So I emptied everything. I printed dozens of white pages and I have less streaks when printing, on the other hand, the black is very clear almost invisible.I have emptied all the toner from the drum, do I need to replace it? No solution ?

The component in the drum works with the toner. You're going to be best served by getting a qualified technician to look at the machine.
