    Mp 4002 blurry copies

Prints, fine, i cleaned the laser lens, scanner lens, optics, etc, Developer roller has a tiny bit of metal dust in the catch area , cleaned it all out, still blurry only on the larger images with a lot of blk, see attached.

the laser, have you opened it and cleaned it inside too? or just the slide, and the external lens?... could be greasy, not knowing how many prints the consumables have made, I can tell you that a problem of this kind, on that model, tends to be solved by emptying the development group, cleaning the magnetic roller very well, and changing the developer... usually

138k on the machine amd no i didnt open the laser cavity..
i think these models had some DV issues,, Its OEM DV but i dont service the client regularly, so im thinking they use compatible toner, there in may the issue, But just being copies and not prints...? the DV would effect both right?
        Thank you for the responses

In addition to the above suggestions, also clean the charge and drum cleaning roller, also replace the cleaning blade and drum if over 100K pages. Check the transfer belt, if it is black it must be replaced (initially brown) together with the blade, eliminate all the dispersed toner and on the led bar above the drum unit....

That sure looks like a warn drum to me. Are you sure about that 138K. That's extremely low for a machine introduced over 11 years ago with a target average monthly volume of 20K. If that 138K is correct, it is time for a full PM even though it has not reached 160K. Everything is dying due to age.

You must open the lasebox, and clean all internal mirror and lens, this make more Sharp the image.
Yes, the developer can affect the copy, and not the print, its happen to me on mp4000, some month ago, the copy are light, but the print no.
