Ricoh MPC 3004SP Touch panel requires calibrating

I have a client who is having issues with the touch screen on a MPC3004 sp.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen please?
If so, I would be grateful if you could let me know, I have looked in the user and service manuals and could see no procedure on this.

Press RESET > 806182 ## > C
Select "Screen Device"
Select "Panel Self Check"
Select "TouchPanel Calibration"

Once you done, press the lowest button on the left side

But I never had this kind of issue with this model.

How do you enter the SP code when the touch screen is out of adjustment? You don't.

I have only had the touch screen go out of adjustment once. Tech Support had no idea what to do short of replacing the panel so I decided to do a full android power reset. The one where you press the panel button to turn off then unplug the AC power cord and then hold the power button until the power LED flashes. When I plugged in back in the problem was cleared.

in addition to what slimslob suggested, I also advise you to set the panel startup mode from "quick" to "normal" because by doing so, every time you turn the machine off and on the panel performs a complete reboot of its operating system, which will avoid to bring with you any anomalies....I would update the firmware with the latest package, this also contains the firmware for the panel.
