[Error Code] Ricoh MP C307 with SC 673-01

    Hello everyone,

A time ago, this very nice Ricoh MP C307 came into my possession. It came from a school and was locked (unlock/pay by card), so I did some (factory)resets and removed all the additional programs. I managed to get control over all settings and now it is printing, scanning and copying fine. But everytime, after 1 job (print, scan of copy) it comes up after about a minute with the SC 673-01. I've updated the latest firmware (via RFUT), read the internet and tried several settings, but it keeps coming back, no matter what I try. So every time after a while I just leave it as it is and sometimes I try something again, but it still doesn't work as it should. It's a shame, of course, that it can't simply be used without any problems.

So I hope someone can help me out with this. The printer has made less than 10k prints; it is as good as new. Maybe I've removed to much, or some settings are not okay anymore, but I cannot resolve it and it really would be a shame when this machine ends up useless.

What factory resets did you do exactly?
I've found out that the factory reset in factory SP doesn't really clear all that many settings unfortunately.
If there is nothing in the machine that you care about then I'd suggest trying an "Erase all memory"(Use random numbers and only 1 cycle, unless you want to wait forever) found in admin settings.

We use this option on machines that support it since it fully clears and resets the machine, far more than the other options I've tried.
It takes some time of course but it is worth it.

If that doesn't work then perhaps factory reseting the SOP from Android recovery might help, although Ricoh dissuades doing this since it might remove some applications.
Other than that the issue might be hardware related, in which case it gets trickier.

Try updating ALL the firmware AND the SOP panel firmware.

I'm not sure: SP-5-748-201 gives a '1' in the box and under it says: 'Initial 0'. So I guess it is '1' allready?

Thanks; but what is there to reinstall more than the firmware? How (and where) can I find the right software/code?

In the WIM under Extended Feature Settings I see there is this option to install/uninstall (?) and install/uninstall additional programs, but nothing to install there anymore. SD Card seems to be empty, Web Server is greyed out and Local File... I don't have it. Is this what you mean or can I find/do it otherwise?

You need to log in as admin, then go to configuration, firmware update.

We can supply the firmware should you need it. We can be contacted via either web link below.

Also I have notes on SC673, try these settings.

                User Tools > System Settings:

                1. Login to User and Authentication Management > set to "OFF"
                2. Machine action when limit is reached > set to "Allow Continue Use"
                3. Enhanced Print Volume Use Limitation > Tracking Permission & Stop Printing > set to "OFF"
                4. Auto Delete User in Address Book > set to "OFF"
                5. SP-5-401-230 > set to Initial (00H)

try with machine off, to restore by disconnecting and reconnecting the SOP harness connector, and update the firmware of only the SOP from its SD slot on the side, the SOP could be faulty
