thin black line appears when using ADF 2-side copying in aficio1060

I had a problem in aficio 1060 ,only when I made a 2-side copying using ADF a vertical thin black line appears in the back side of the output copy , I cleaned the scanner of the ADF well but the line still appears .
What do you think the problem?

Did you also clean the shading plate? If the CIS is really clean and the line won't go away, I think you have to replace the CIS.

I'd put money on a little bit of dirt on the CIS glass. Clean it with IPA solvent.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Check that the white reference plate is also clean. Both on the underside of the DF and under the platen glass. If either of these get dirty it can cause wierd faults.

You must also adjust your margins in user tools, document features, edit, back margin.I take it this is on the second side of a duplex copy???
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

You might try changing the margin shift from .2 to .0. I also think that this is the problem.

This is a very common problem and one that comes as a default when new. Go into user tools. Click coper/document server and go to the edit tab. On there you will have an option for 1/2 sided margin adjustment. By default as new it comes set to 0.5mm. You need to change this to 0mm and that will instantly cure the problem. This is usually one of the first things I do when setting up a new machine. Good luck.

if the original is feeding on LEF, then having a thin line either trainling or leading... as mention above go to Edit Margin...

                    good luck...
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

If that is the case then its going to be a dirty/faulty rear CIS unit which is inside the DF or you have dirty optics if it's on the front side. Obviously you have checked that it does not put lines on an SMC print to check that it is an optical problem and not a print problem?

If all above fails you have a faulty CIS i once had it that it pulled thin black lines across the page! I also had one were the wire brakes in the loom rite by the cable tie.
                          Good luck

I had a few cases in wich CIS glass had a tiny scratches or cracks, and dirt during copying is stuck in this cracs wich couses black lines. This dirt canot be cleaned easily You have to take out the CIS form DF and take a good rub, or replace it of course.. Hope this helps...
