I am coming up with a sc569 error and the fuser is jammed in the printer. I had a sc545 and replaced all thermostats and thermisters. When I booted the machine I got the sc569 error and the fuser is stuck in their. How do I get the fuser out and what is the fix to clear the sc569?

Did you remove the fuser to change the Thermistors??
If so, my bet is that you damaged the fusing pressure release sensor by not unplugging the loom before removal (At the front, below the web) which would prevent the pressure releasing, cause SC569 and may prevent removal.
If you can get the front cover off, you may be able to release / remove the pressure motor. See detailed description section in the service manual. Otherwise, you should be able to run the motor in outut mode to drop the roller.
You will need a new sensor, the pcb will be broken! -
I've also had the black plate that covers the thermistors and thermostats been put back in the wrong place and it jams the fuser in position. Take the duplex out, the front cover of the fuser off and see if you can jam a flat blade in the front of the fuser and push that black plate down, it may come out. It could also be when connecting the thermistors the metal plate at the back hasn't gone on straight. Did you have to slam the fuser back in to get it to connect properly? It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I'm with TonerMumkeh on this one. I've been on a call where the tech (no, not me!) put the front of the top cover over the lip instead of under. If you didn't remove the fuser from the machine when you first serviced it, logic suggests that the probable cause can only be something you reassembled. It may take a good yank and possibly break the cover. Do a good visual check first and try and determine where it's hanging up, you may be able to release it as he suggested.Last edited by teebee1234; 12-14-2009, 10:08 PM.Comment
