MP7000 with SR970 Jams every second copy?

Guys,

As the title says MP7000 with finisher sr970 attached.

Jams virtually every second copy only when output is to the shift tray and the job isn't stapled.
Jam code is 111.

Code 111 in tha manual says its a motor issue with either the shift motor (replaced it) or the exit guide plate motor (replaced it)?????

First copy will not jam but the next one will, the paper doesn't actually jam, it comes out fine but the machine throws a jam message after paper exits finisher.

If I copy to the proof tray its fine.
If I staple it's fine.

I think it must have something to do with the sfift mechanism or the exit lift plate mechanism but I can't fault them?

There is a parts update and TSB for the lift motor on the elevator tray. If you get the motor, be sure to order the new bracket or you will need to drill new holes in the old one as the mounting points are different. For short term, you might be able to swap one from another machine to get them up and running.
