    line coming from cleaning blade?

Have a Savin 9021D that was installed new on 12/28/09. Line appearing on copies from both ardf and from glass platen. When sent through ardf the line is lighter than when on platen glass. Optics are clean and drum looks good as well. Is it possible for there to be build up or something on cleaning blade that may be causing this.

Do you get the line when printing a meter sheet?

If it's really not the optics I would guess a line on the charge roller over a cleaning blade.

Place "Large" paper on the glass / adf (I would use A3 in the UK). Select "auto reduce / enlarge" and set the contrast to dark. Take a copy from tray 1 "Small" paper (As A4) long edge first.

Does the line rotate with the image (Stays "long edge to long edge)? If yes it's optical, if no (Stays in paper feed direction) it's the print engine.

Have you performed an engine print?
