    MPC2550 Internal Finisher

How many of you guys are seeing problems with the internal finishers on the MPC2550?

If you mean the jam code 246, then yes. The fix is to loosen the tension on the drive belt for the stapler and lube the shaft it rides on (they've been coming bone dry from the factory).

*FYI, sp7504 lists jam code 246 as a Finisher Jogger Motor jam but in the appendix for jam detection is listed as Stapler Unit Drive Motor (which is correct).

    7504 246
    Stapler Unit Drive Motor
The mainframe detects the lock signal
from the stapler unit movement motor of
    the punch unit.

We have been running into those errors as well as intermittent false jams that won't seem to clear.

There are multiple tech bulletins for various jam issues with this model (more than average). Mostly related to bent parts in and around the fuser due to the way the operator may close the duplexer. I can post them if you don't have access to them.
