    2045/3045 duplex unit

    Hey all,

    Does anyone know if the 2045 and 3045 duplex units are interchangeable? I have a customer with a 3045 that says they damaged the duplex unit pretty badly and wanted to know if we could replace it. I have one for a 2045 and wondered if I could be lucky enough to be able to use it. I know most of the parts are the same but not sure about the whole unit. Any help would be much appreciated. TIA

      Went thru several pages of parts manual and noticed variations to parts numbers. most noticible was stepper motor numbers. SoI wouls say no.

          Wouldn't hurt to throw it on. Stepper motors amy be different, but I think the board is the same.
          Why do they call it common sense?

          If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

              I compared the point to point for both duplexers. They were exactly the same as far as voltages and signals at all connections, number of sensors and motors were the same.

                  We have swapped one recently without a problem, there are indeed part no. variations but ricoh are famous for that.
                  Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

                      I tried it today and was pleasantly surprised that it worked. Thanx for all the info everyone.
