I checked the thermistor and it was dirty. I cleaned it and had the same error. The second time through I checked the ohms across the pressure roller lamp and got zero. I am going to order a lamp and a thermistor. Is there an underlying problem that I am missing?Comment

The pressure lamp was open. I replaced it and also replaced the thermistor. I checked the thermal fuses and they are good. Now I get a cl553 error. I reset the fusing unit counter and continue to get this error. Anything left to check?Comment

I've been told that the pressure roller will get flat spots on it and needs to be replaced. I've also heard that it needs to be flashed as well to help keep these from happening.
HTHColor is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

You may have to replace the fuser. With the pressure lamp overheating even after you replaced the thermistor, you could also have a PSU or BCU problem. I would try another fuser first.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment
