    Ricoh Aficio 450

    I have a AF450 with the add toner light staying on.
    I have located the fault to the main board.

    Question: Can this symptom be cleared from the main board.

    Any help would be appreciated.

      There are several simple things to check first:

      1) The toner hopper may be clogged.
      2) The toner motor may be shorted, blowing IC122 on the IOB. Replace the toner motor and IOB as a set (see TSB A680-035)
      3) The right doorswitch bracket may be mounted incorrectly (and does not display "Close Doors/Covers").
      4) Check to see if SP5-957 is set correctly. See (TSB232-032)

          Thanks for your reply.

          I changed the IOB board and the toner motor assy., ...toner light still on.
          I replaced the main board, problem solved on customers machine.
          Now I have a main board that keeps the toner light on.
          I was hoping to put the faulty main board back into another AF450 and possibly reset it to, toner light off and then have a spare working main board.

              replace the main board nvram.

                  Did Replacing the NVRAM Fix the Issue?
