    Aficio 1035 developer unit rebuilding

I am trying to rebuild a developer unit of Aficio 1035. Magnetic roller has been parted from Doctor blade.Would anysenior one be advise the exact or minimum gap between Mag roller & doctor blade to maintain a resonable size of brush on the mag roller.

Its factory set. You're not supposed to take it apart. Get a new one.

      Aficio 1035

      Thanking you sir,
Many mistakes could be done. However one of my friend advised us to put 8 papers of 80gsm between roller and doctor blade and adjust the gap.The trick woked fine for me.I am of the view that its just a trick paper can be of different thickness (bulky or fine).
But as you advised one must not deal with some factory setted parts in any of the units.

If the screw head has white paint on it, leave it alone!

Why not you take other development unit of 1035, measure with the gauge and solve the problem youself ?

Try 3 or 4 sheets standard copy paper between the mag roller and doctor gap (I'd go with 3 sheets and if the blacks looks pale you can still increase the gap) - there's no need for a new unit if nothing else is broken.

              Tight .35 mm.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
