    ADF Jams on MP7000

    Hi all,
    I have mp 7000 jamming in the ADF.When you put the documents in the df the tray lifts when you hit the start button it dosent feed.And registers a jam in the df registration sensor (late).The pick up seperation roller belt and torque limiter have been replaced this happens intermittantly im thinking towards the feed motor.Has anyone else experienced this.Any ideas much apperciated.

    You can check this motor through ADF diagnostics menu. If it works than you have to see the "drive train", maybe the white coupling shaft B477-3124 is worn...

        Check the main drive motor and see if the white connector is fully seated. I've seen this twice before.

            Have seen this with a different model and was caused by the ADF open sensor sticking, it would recognize paper present but wouldn't feed or even turn a roller. Just throw a jam. Could be worth a sensor check.

              I'd go with the DF harness. On the older 10 & 2060s this symptom was fairly common. Usually it's the harness that goes to the sensor below the original table, but I've also had to replace the paper width sensor harness. I did have 1 machine where the sensor PCB was cracked.

              I haven't seen it on the MP series, but the DF is similar.
