Hi! I would like to ask if the machine Aficio 2018d can be used as scan to folder? If there is, may I know the step by step procedure? by the way, I will use it only on Windows XP. I have already installed the Desktopbinder and the TWAIN driver. Thank you very much.

Why not continue with the same thread?
Scan to folder requires "scanrouter V2 lite" software (if you can still find it), as well as the knowledge of how to configure it, if you've not used it before, because it's quirky. You could otherwise setup "scan to FTP" which is more reliable IMO, or as stated above, "scan to email'Comment

Thank youby the way, it is not related. On the other thread I was looking for a way to have another copy of the SD Card because my other machine doesn't have. Here i'm looking for a way if it's possible to scan from the machine to pc

Re: Aficio 2018d Scanning problem
The 2018 does support scanrouter. It can only be installed on one computer and share those folders out.
Problem is that Ricoh no longer supports scanrouter, so you are on your own if there are problems.
I have made it work on a Win7 32bit, thanks to input from this site.
Good Luck. Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?Comment

EDIT: I've removed the link to the setup guide, as it appears that a newer version of the guide, and multiple other language versions, are included in the ZIP file for the software.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.

Nice link femaster. I'm surprised that Ricoh still has the software available on one of their sites (I wish I still had access).
I've attached my own 1 page "Coles notes" version of the setup for Scanrouter. I've not seen the new setup guide within your download, but I've created this for many of my clients, to help them be more self-sufficient when the s*#t hits the fan, and save me some time.
I think most will find it quite a bit easier to follow than RICOH's typical guide of the "land of confusion" anyway, plus it includes a few settings for windows XP not covered in the original setup guide, such as windows firewall port #3670:

Excellent document sandmanmac. Very helpful indeed, will be saving that to my collection. Always nice to have a step by step document like that; certainly makes things quite a bit clearer...
I'm sure you meant that you wished you still had access to the site, but if you want the software, and can't get it at the link, just say the word and I can ship it your way.Last edited by femaster; 01-21-2012, 06:43 AM.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. No Thanks. I could access the link, but I've had a copy of the software saved for years anyway. It's the TSB's, firmware, and manuals for the newest equipment that I'm missing most since I got cut off.Comment
