I understand. If the line enlarges or reduces the fault is in the optics.
Not to flog a dead horse... I've had dirt and grit on the optics that only 100% alcohol could remove.
One job drove me up the wall. I knew it was optics an only pure alcohol fixed the issue. I must have cleaned those mirrors five or six times with water trying to fix the error.
Re Dev void:
Wind the dev roller backwards slightly an shake to eject the lumps. If the line moves to another position you know it's a doc blade Dev void. If the lumps can be seen touch a magnetic screw driver on them to remove the lump.
