    [CQ] Color offset

I have been dealing with an MP c3000 with a color offset issue. Tried to adjust with the service codes and had only short term success. Updated firmware, just for giggles and the off-chance, to no avail. What am I missing? Any help welcome. Thanks.

Do you have a sample? Offset is a very broad term, do you mean it isn't fusing correctly? Or, are the colours not aligning?

Colors not aligning on top of one another. The sample my client showed me had small squares with the colors misaligned or offset on top of another. The fusing is fine, the colors are picked up in different spots on the transfer belt. Or placed on drum units improperly.

If you performed a forced line adjustment C then A twice, and it still isn't aligning properly, then you could have loose screws on the laser, faulty drums, loose drums, or faulty ITB.

In extreme cases i've had to do an Engine clear to fix this but that's usually 2800/3300/4000/5000 series rather than 2500/3000 series....might be worth a shot if you know what you're doing

Don't even do it, only as a last resort! This is the Nuclear option. Tread carefully, thin ice. Danger Will Robinson, Danger.
