      Ok...in SP Mode 5-803-046 I cannot change bit 1, it is not letting me access it at all to change any of the numbers. Is there something you have to initiate to it to be able to change the bit no. ?

        I think a mp4000 printer fuser will work in the mpc4000, it is a lot cheaper, check it out for part compatiblility.

          PROBLEM SOLVED

          I switched the wire harness from the original onto a mp c5000 fuser. Fired right up. Thanks for all the help!

              All item in SP 5803 are to look at what the input from the device is. If a value is showing 1 and it should be 0 then the associated device is where the problem is. In your case it turned out to be something in the wiring harness affecting the device reading.
