    Samsung CLX-3160fn registration problem

    I have a Samsung CLX-3160fn with a lead edge registration problem. . .

The paper seems to be late by a cm or so. . .this puts the image right to the tip of the paper. If you are printing colour pictures, this has lead to jams in the fuser.

I have replaced the registration clutch, cleaned the reg rollers. Removed the belt on the right side of the printer which drives the MP tray rollers to no avail!

Not sure what the next step is. .

    Any thoughts on this?

    Many thanks

check the firmware. i know on one of the models they came out with firmware to help prevent the paper from getting wrapped around the fuser when theres alot of coverage on the lead edge...as far as registration goes i dont think theres any sim or setting to adjust the registration

What I've usually seen, is dirty or dried out pickup rollers causing this issue. Like all tabletop Samsung the paper timing is quite loose, so your paper can be late by over 25mm before it pulls a jam.

Forget about registration adjustments. There are none.

Just clean or replace the pickup rollers. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
