Just curious if you've run this by the guys on the hotline? You can get some numbnuts & some pretty knowledgeable ones. My guess would be a defective EEPROM. If you worked on Cougars, a bad EEPROM would give odd error codes. Although I did get a bad main PWB from board repair, sent it back only to get the exact same frickin PWB back. The next time I kept it, ordered the replacement, then sent it back after I got the other one. HTH
      Hope that helps !

I imagine you'll have to contact Sharp DSSD to get an eeprom. I believe that eeprom has counterfit protection with serial number info so you can't program one or anything like that.
            Hope that helps !

if you suggest to send the eeprom to sharp centre to re-program ,makesure to take both of the eeprom from your machine.if I am not wrong it located one at scanner pwb and one at main pwb.also please print out the machine self info data.you need to send it to japan through thair local sharp service centre.also please attech the machine serial no.

make sure you update firmware to the latest version before you call them, that's the first thing they'll ask you before they'll do anything and the first guy or 2 you talk to won't know anything

I had this problem awhile back.....I replaced the DIMM 4 memory as I was advised by my Field Rep. I got the DIMM from Memory Experts and it fixed my E7-06 error.
