MX3071S models, no wi fi or airprint

Hello, we have a few 3071 S models. When I look at comparison chart it shows the S model has no airprint or WI FI It says WI FI is optional. I am wondering if I installed the optional wi fi if airprint would work then? Most of our customers want WI FI and airprint so right now these machines are not doing us anygood.

The wireless LAN adapter is MX-EB18 but I do not know if adding it will also enable Airprint. Hopefully someone else knows for sure.

When the S series first came out it didn't have AirPrint, but a few months later they came out with a firmware update that enabled it. You don't need a wireless adapter in order to use AirPrint. Also, weird that customers want wireless, when 90% of our customer base has established lan connections they have been using for decades.

We have a lot of customers like it as a feature, but they rarely end up using it haha

Yes you are right. I didnt physically look, the spec sheet said it does not have airprint, but I had already put latest firmware in and I looked, it does have airprint and it works with no wi fi. Thanks

I've taken the wifi card from an old 4070N and installed it. There is some engine switch I think has to be changed too, to enable. I can't find the reference for it, but it does work.

The S models came out when there was a component shortage, so they had to stop WiFi card production for a while.
