ARM208 dumping developer. Did all the mods in the tech bulletins. changed DV unit and drum unit. still dumping like crazy. Anyone else have this same situation on this model or arm237 model and come up with a fix? this machine is kicking my ass. and put more money in it then i really wanted to. THANKS.

Dustin, I'd try an AR-310MC main charge unit. We've had pretty good luck with this. -
I know that you said that you changed the drum and developer. But in my experience that's exactly what we've done for the developer dumping. I don't know what happens to the drum units, but it causes the dumping, and the dumping will resume immediately if you only change the developer.
Maybe the charge unit is just the thing, like tmaged says.
Usually the service call is for jamming, because all that developer makes the registration and feed rollers slippery.
This can be a really frustrating problem. When you install the developer the next time try stirring the developer three or four times. We've had batches of developer that gave really poor readings the first couple times for 25-2.
Let us know what you find. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had the little contact under the charge grid to fall off unnoticed when I was cleaning the sawtooth one time. it pulled alot of dv as soon as it started to cycle. I sensed something was wrong and stopped it.then was led to the problem. If you haven't lost the contact you may a conection problem in the grid circut someware.Comment

Check the right door and the springs for the transfer roller. Poor contact and the developer dumps. I have only seen worn drums cause dumping. I used to yank the springs by about a couple mm's or replace the right door. The only other thing I can think of is replacing the developer unit.Comment

I agree with the above post about the D/V mylar. I have done a PM on this machine before, and somehow "bent" the mylar at install. It would leak D/V all day. All you have to do is bend it a little. Normally, with these machines there are only the 3 parts that cause leakage: Drum, Charge or Developer. They normally don't have any voltage issues, so I would keep it simple.Comment

I had the same problem and tried to solve it the same way. Finally figured out it was the DV bias voltage. If you put a meter lead on the end of the mag roller and the lead on the hinge of the door and hit the start button you should see 400v. I was getting 350v. I adjusted the voltage with sim 8-1 and have not had the problem since.Comment

have you checked for error codes? U2 code fix will take care of it...you gunna eat yo corn bread?!?Comment

I checked the machine out today... though now it needs a paper exit unit... and now the DV is coming out the front side instead of the rear side.
I know it was leveled when installed, but I guess something could have changed that.
I am getting no U2 codes at all.
Thanks for all the replies.Comment

Try to adjust the DV doctor clearance. Make it smaller than standart describet in documentation if need.
