    Jupiter AR-M451N. Problem code L4-2

    Good afternoon colleagues.
At the copier flashed an error code L4-02. Drum motor lock trouble. Drum rotates easily. Clear the whole block of the drum vacuum cleaner. Smeared with grease axle drive Dram unit. To work. Photocopies produced about 600 copies and error L4-02 to light again.
    Thank you for your help.

If you are sure the drum & process unit are OK, change the MC unit. I know it sounds crazy..... but trust me.

From memory there was another post on this code a few months back. Get more info there if you can find it.

Had one of these just the other day and it wound up being the DV unit.

I've had a shorting HVT lead produce this effect. It's part of the main drive assy. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

had this a month or so ago, every thing turned great, (drum unit, dv unit, drive unit). most times power cycling would get rid of the error. Still turned out to be the DV unit. it was hit and miss but the bloody thing was shot after 400k on it. I would turn the mag roller backwards and then go forwards and it would be smooth again.

I find on this series if you have around 350k-450k on a DV unit, toss it. They are usually worn out by then.

At the 300k PM if that unit has any signs of turning rough at all it gets replaced at the next PM
Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.
