Hi

I have a costumer that today when was scaning, the copier ligths for change the toner box, and after the scanner do not workn more.

When touch in scanner mode say that is not installed????

Well ,i never have see this issue before, and now the problem is that the copier was buy in second hand from another country, how i can recupered the scanner key??


And for to prevent this, in another copiers there are some way that to see the scanner ,and postscrip keys option?

Those machines came with a 500 scan demo mode. My guess is that demo was enable and timed out. Just happened to be at same time as change toner. To see if option is installed go to Custom Settings......Key Op mode..... 00000 (zero 5 times) is default pass. Scroll down to last screen and select "Product Key" then OK to the warning. At this point you will see what is installed. Black text on white background = not installed, white text on dark background = installed.

Thanks for your opinion, but i now about the demo scanner in this copiers.
But not the case, because i assist this copier, and i have a sm 22-6 of long ago
and in the last print had 8500 scans, and in the control panel the"expansion kit"
was dark.
Now, after ther issue in the control panel is white, i d'ont understand, because
i never had this issue.

Now i want fix the issue but i d'ont now as, and because i n have another costumers
with same copiers but work ok, i want now if is possible somehow know the scanner
and postscript keys, because also been imported.

It will be difficult to retrieve the product key, but you should try at "Product Key Support" and give the model number and serial number and ask for a re-issue of key.

i send a mail message for sharp, and no answer, because the web site that i found like "product key support" is necesssaire a ID and a PASSWORD?? and i do not have acess??

Or you means another product key support?? can send tyhe link?

You must be a dealer to use the website. Perhaps you can convince a local Canon dealer to help you out. No dealer with half a brain would post his login on a public forum. =^..^=

but those difficulties and fair by the sharp recovery in the key.

because the key has been paid, there is no fraud, is a costumer right.

And about comerciants, there are very comerciantes that have resources to help others.

u can reset all counters of the copier
use
CA P * CA P
enter program 89 subcode 1
and then u use program 26 subcode 10
and enter value 1
so u can use the scanner for another 500 scanned images
repeat above procdures every 500 scanned images

Thanks for your reply, had the idea to do , put in demo mode, so I'm waiting for a reply from Sharp.

My only doubt was, if affter execut s.m 89... as is the copier in terms of configuration, because i haven't do this.

sharp copiers are very good, but in terms of trade has promenores that leave much to be desired

because it will reset it
after sim renter counter by sim.

yet about my problem, the sharp response was negative, because the copier was buy in second hand, and i must contact the dealer that sel them and so , and so......

So, i have a idea, that d'ont now if works:

>Its possible to change a MFP number? how?

if is possible i try put a key producto number of one copier that is mi.
