Print controller/MFP fan motor trouble.

Take upper rear cover off and check cooling fan. Also check sim 6-02 Fan Test. Run CONFM (Controller/HDD cooling fan).

If fan rotates during sim test, but errors on normal startup, fan is bad due to signal line loss. Order a new fan NFANP0086FCPZ.

My experience is that this particular fan error is usually caused by the fan itself, however other fan trouble codes can be caused by another fan being bad pulling the signal down, giving a false code.

Had this on a MX5001 and it was the fan. Did as wazza said and played with it to get the fan working temporarily but you could feel the difference in airflow from the bad fan. There is a tech bulletin out for this with a new fan number. This is for the MX5001 so be sure to check for the right part number.

That particular fan on the C-Dragon & Venus series has not been updated.
Bil, you are right about the fan upgrade, but it doesn't apply for the model in question here. Its basically the same fan, but has different connection plug.
