Today while doing a new MX-3500N copier installation (as per the inst.procedure,without putting the toner) , Iam not able to enter into simulation to do ATDC adjustment. If I press the numbers key iam able to hear the key sound for few seconds after that iam not able to hear anything.Special modes ,file & quick file also not appearing.If I switch off the m/c through control panel switch also it is not getting off. it hangs. Then I have to switch off the main switch & restart the m/c again.

I have had this before.
If the machine boots up OK, but within the first 30 seconds, the operation panel completely freezes up (no touch panel, numeric numbers or power button working), the problem will be the Scanner PWB.
The operation panel unit directly connects to the scanner pwb, so first reseat all cables (especially the white ribbon cables) on the scanner pwb, then retest.
If the panel still locks up, replace the scanner board. Just change the small eeprom over on the new board and correctly seat the flashrom. All other cables just plug straight in. Run the shading correction & a color calibration too when done. -
Today i went there & i replaced the scanner pwb. But same problem occured. Afterwards i removed the harddisk from the m/c & i connected to a computer then i formatted the three partitions.Then i refixed in the m/c. Now there is no issues.
Because of the customer's urgency i couldn't reconfirm the old scanner pwb.Comment

Well, you got me there... that issue is usually the scanner board, and I've even had other techs confirm this on their machines as well. But, there are always weird issues caused by Hard Drives at the best of times, so well done bro!Comment

I did have a couple HDD failures do that,no codes or anything just locked upComment
