    Sharp ARM700 Error F2-31

    Hello....
I have a F2-31 error code on the Sharp ARM700. I understand that is drum related but the drum seems to be fine, so it is the drum cleaning blade. Does anybody knows what else might be causing this problem or how I can reset it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

clean the sensors in the process unit. and do sim 44-2. that should take care of it if all else is fine

I agree with Fanasa. Clean the drum sensors in the PU.
Reset with sim 14. Run 44-02.

There are also cases of this code being 'locked' into the PCU memory. This will need to be reset with sim 88-09. But, be super careful, as you will be erasing the PCU contents. Everything will be wiped clear. You will need to enter in values & counters manually.

            Oh yes.
Before you start, check sim 44-02. You'll probably see readings for one or both sensors at 226 (DMLED & PCLED).
When you're changing the drum, be sure to thoroughly clean the drum mark and drum patch sensors. A common cause for this code is a failed lower cleaning seal or drum blade allowing toner to spray right on the drum mark sensor. Sometimes it's just normal wear on the drum causing the high readings. Normal readings are around 40.

Then go to sim 44-02 and run the PROCON Gain Adjustment. It will re-initialize the sensors. Run sim 14 to reset the error. Reset your drum counters and you're good to go.
The code won't clear, and the sensors won't initialize without running the simulation. That goes for any machine with a drum mark sensor back to analog days. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
