    Toner consuming on AR M550

I have a very big consuming of toner on this AR-M550 28-42k and never more with toner AR621T which should rich 83K with 5%. This customer use this machine only like copier no prints at all. Somethmes there is more then 5% coverage but not significant. I try ADJ 9 Adjusting the copied image quality but with very light copy I gat +5K at most.
New OPC & New Developer is instaled and corect sim 25-2 with open door was done.

    Any Idea???
    Thanks in advance

When you run dev adjust, was the toner cartridge installed? That can definitely affect the dev value over the life of the dev.

Make sure the firmware is up to date, at least these shown.....

Then make these changes to improve low & halftone density...

*** The firmware must be right before doing this OK.

Toner use also varies depending on machine location, temperature, humidity, long vs short copy/print runs, high rotation values of drum/dev (must be reset in 24-11 upon replacement too), firmware levels & good operation of drum sensor.

The toner cartridge was installed but we sealed toner supply holes on dev unit so concetration of toner in dev was unchenged during instalation.
I did not check firmware but on next wisit I will and I will make sugested changes.
All couters were cleared by the book.

Thanks wazza, I will let you know as soon as I make changes.
      Best Regards

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
