    On most of my machines I increased the counterweight on the original length sensor flag. The original counterweight is a M4 x 6 plastic screw. I would back out that screw about half way, then install an additional M4 x 6 screw from the other side (twice the counterweight).

    Another way you can experience the same symptoms is if the enduser stacks letter sized originals to be scanned on the end of the original tray, then starts scanning sets from the top of the stack. The pile of originals trips the length sensor so that all originals are detected as 11 x17.

    Yes, very common for someone to place books or other originals on the right sensor and then have that message pop up. Make sure that sensor works as well using your SIMs.

    usually the adf paper lenght sensor giving this...check the sensor on the right, actuator problably not coming up enough.

    hello guys i am trying to help some other techs here with a problem on a MX-350N copier, the problem, ther are using 8 1/2x11 and 8 1/2x14 paper in the copier but when you try to copy from the DSPF with the above paper it says "LOAD 11X17 paper"can someone help me to get to the bottom of this problem please?
