    Sharp ARM-350 wrinkled copies/prints

I've been having problems with wrinkle that shows up in the feed direction. I've cleaned the fuser entrance guide, and replaced the upper and lower fuser rollers(they were very worn and needed to be replaced anyways). The problem went away, they called back a week later, I stopped out and adjusted the position of the entrance guide on the bottom of the fuser, the problem went away for about 3 weeks, and now they called back and said they are having the same wrinkled sheets problem. I cant find anything catching or skewing the paper prior to entering the fuser. Maybe too much moisture in the paper?

    Thanks!

hi there. is it all trays or just tray 1? if its just tray 1 check the lugs on the door that rest on tray 1 feed guide. if not iv had it where the registration drive clutch on the main drive unit fails so it creates no paper buckle and hence a skewed/creased copy.

I dont work on sharp's that often, is there a service mode to test the output of the registration clutch?

Check the idle rollers after the fuser, including the ones that are under the fan up on top of the paper exit section. If the shafts get dirty, the rollers bind, and can cause wrinkles.
The other area I have had lots of problems with is the registration unit, and have ended up replacing the entire assembly.
Check that the fuser frame is whole, as customers have a habit of dropping them if they remove the complete fuser assembly, and the frame cracks very easily, especially if it has done a few copies and is a little brittle.
Also, the fuser pressure release levers can cause similar problems.

I have had a ARM-350 do similar problems from tray 1 when the one way bearing on the feed unit is not binding properly because the shaft that it sits on has been buffed slick. After replacing registration unit, Fuser and rollers, I was informed of this happening on other machines via an associated tech. I used some sand paper to scuff up the shaft and it seemed to resolve the skew and unusual creasing.

This Customer bought a new machine shortly after so not sure if it was a short term fix or a long term fix.

I can confirm chubblies comment on the idler rollers in the delivery/turnover. I've seen then crumble into little bits and drop into the fuser. If you've got 600K on the delivery/turnover unit just replace the whole thing. It warps and crumbles from the fuser heat.

Another thing to check is if the developer is extremely overtoned, dropping toner can fill the registration roller cleaner, inhibiting the spring loading on the registration roller. On this occasion I replaced the developer, vacuumed out a ton of toner and developer from the vertical path & PS assembly (registration), and the wrinkling went away.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Hi mate.
              And if you ,
-try with another fuser unit, chek the resutl,
-following, try with another PS roller unit.
-if not fix, and if the copier as much copys, or years
if was me, i focused in the rollers that are following the fuser unit
there are four in rubber, and four in plastic .

I think that your issue are around this.

Curious if the machine has the FN7 finisher on it. If installed on carpet they can pull on the left side door over time and cause problems. Also check the little black pressure tabs at the bottom of that door guide that press in on the tray1 vertical guide, hopefully its simpler than that, but they can break off.
