    Sharp MX-M450, L4-02

I know this is for drum motor lock. Anything common that would cause this? Customer said machine was working good then code came up all of a sudden.

    Thanks in advance

On the Tigers, it's quite common to get a seized up main drive assembly, or main charge arcing from the HVT lead (which is part of the main drive assembly). I don't think it's ever been the main motor. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Found the waste toner packed in augar which broke the small idler gear stud off. Had to order a new process unit.

Of course the customer said it was making a noise for last month! Machine is under contract and they always call me for every little thing but not for this loud noise! Now it will cost me $150 for process unit because they thought it wasn't a problem making the noise!

Gotta love these customers some times......

I would agree with all of the above comments and to check into the bulletin MFP-TB-290. They changed the tension of the DV drive spring.
