    [Jamming] POD1_N Error

Hello I am getting a POD1_N jam code and a H5-01 what is happening is when the paper races the fuse it doesn't actually enter the fuse it jams right at the fuse entrance and the paper folds like a fan. I tested the fuse in another copier and it worked fine. Any suggestions are appreciated

Your message was a touch cryptic.

You tried the fuser in another source, but did that second source use the same paper?

Do you think you could tell us what model you're working on, or shall we guess? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check the drive gear on the transfer belt.

The inside of the gear where the pin sits will round out and the transfer belt will not turn.

I have seen similar problems on MX-M550/620 and MX-3501/4501. In almost all cases, the problem was in the secondary transferbelt. The belt has a tendency to dry out and then starts to slip resulting in the paper to fold before it enters the fuser.

Also run a sensor check, and make sure your POD1_N and POD2_N sensors flick on and off, don't know what model yours is, but had a sensor lever snap the other day and cause something similar. (Sim 30 for the sensors)

I usually see it as the primary transfer blade flipped, but it could be one of the above. A model number would be helpful.

Sounds like a bad sensor, had this code quite frequently. Usually sensor with arm sticking up below fuser. Usually checks good in sim code but has been my fix recently.

                    Try one of these....

Turn on Misfeed Disable Sim:7-1. If copies make it though its a sensor, and if not its mechanical. [Sensors]

Next check gear on primary transfer belt. [Gear stripped]

Next change 2nd transfer unit. [Bad belt] I wouldn't rebuilt it.

And if none of that works then try changing the registration roller unit.

                    Good luck.
