Just follow the procedure in the manual for a HDD replacement (but using the old HDD). If it fails, replace the HDD and try again. =^..^=

Format the HDD 08-690 , reload the firmware. Perform 08-1119. If this does not work, replace the HDD and reload the firmware.

Hello all I have a Toshiba E studio 506 that is stuck on checking system. Please do not power off the machine. It does not go any further than that. I'm thinking HDD any help is greatly appreciated.
