    [Dead] Toshiba 555 Fuser Transport Drawer Stuck Shut

    Hello, The copier has a jam in the fuser and the door is locked shut. I am having trouble finding the solution or repair procedure in the Service Manual. Any help is very appreciated !!! Thanks so much !!!

    You'll have some fun with this one:

    Especially when the customer has a lot of jamming and doesn't call ... that drawer gets slammed a lot and HARD, and that drawer is heavy. I think you'll discover that the latching mechanism at the back of the drawer is rotated on the shaft, probably because the attaching screw is bent. You'll have to access it from the back of the rear frame. I don't recall exactly what you have to remove, but I believe the HVT is in the way, and the drum drive. You may also discover that the rear frame is a bit bent up from all the slamming. Let's see if I can find some kind of illustration ... :

    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
