I do have this manual. I occasionally share manuals with members of long standing, and members that contribute to Copytechnet. Some members contribute with a financial donation to support the website. Others contribute by assisting other members with their issues.

It is not a normal 2.5 HDD. It's a Toshiba Wipe Drive that encrypts the data. You cannot substitute another type. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: e Studio 2500ac wanted firmware

                  Hi guys,
I have a Toshiba e-Studio2500AC and my current issue is. I have a error F101 which we already know is a firmware update. I have a current firmware for this machine and for some odd reason I am not able to upload into the machine. Had this firmware as a zip file. 1st I unzipped the file, then I extracted the file and then transferred all the files into a thumb drive. Took the thumb drive and plugged into the machine. Booted the machine into state #49 which is firmware updates take place. Selected update firmware and machine states that there is no folder associated for the update to take place. Question, am I doing something wrong? Possible. Can someone please guide me into right direction on how to do this smoothly. Incase, I need a new HDD, how do I transfer info from the old one into the new or when you do the firmware update it has all those information.

Thank you in advance for those who can offer their help

                      hi Jacal,
                      1. You should need to follow the service manual.
                      2. check your USB stick compatibility, used to under 8G.
                      3. check firmware source.
btw, you can't transfer data from the old HHD to the new one.

You need to unzip the Firmware file on your USB root, basically your firmware folder file on your USB should look like 2505AC_5005AC and inside this folder you must have all the necessary firmware files.
Defects are simple, our mind is complicated

                            1. format USB stick, unzip the firmware source then copy the folder "2000AC_2500AC" to USB.
                            2. try another usb Port, change USB stick or Firmware source.

Lest there be a mistake, I enclose the plate from my printer.

                              Thanks
