351C "Printing"

I was at a 351c today that stops at a random point during a print job & shows Printing in the display. The machine continues to cycle but nothing comes out. It cycled for about 45 minutes without generating an error code. I did the following

• Updated print drivers. Once the machine gets into the "printing" loop, you can cancel the print job.
• Updated firmware. I tried the latest 2 versions.
• Replaced the HDD & reloaded firmware.

The only other thing I can think to try would be RAM. I believe we have some to try in the AM. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks for the input.

it could be the RAM or the SYS board

For this color machine, it might having the color calibration. Did you proper service the machine? I don't think that the RAM and the system board will cause this problem. You can try to do again machine color calibration for testing.

The things that come to mind are ram, hard drive, fuser unit, dev unit, and sys pwb. If the fuser drops too low it will try to warm up. The same thing with the toner/dev units.

id go thermistors first a little bend does wonders

Seems that RAM has taken care of it so far. I did forget to add to the original post that it was a mono print job.

Just wanted to update. It came back. One of the techs found the clip on the transfer roller in the door had slid down the shaft & the bushing was out of place. Maybe high voltage leaking/arcing was causing some goofy stuff. The machine ran all day yesterday, so I think we're good now.
