After doing a sim 690-2 the scanning quit working. that being you go to scan by choosing from the address book and hit scan button and it does nothing, no scan of original on glass or adf. All setting seem to still be in the machine(dns,ip,sub).

690 - 2 start wipes the address book and you have to re-enter the values again.And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right! -

08/690 does wipe the address book, my guess is the 690 didn't take and you have a bad HDD. You may also want to look at yout settings in top access to determine if any of the network settings were wiped.You may have lost your from address, or other needed SMTP settings.
