    [CQ] toshiba es 520 backgrounding

I have a Toshiba e-Studio 520 that is backgrounding, and looks to be overtoned, (a general grey background) but the developer doesn't look to be overtoned. There is also grey streaks on the back of each page (single sided). On multiple copies there is a repeating image from privious pages but the drum blade seems to be cleaning well. I'm not too familiar with this equipment and don't have a manual for it, I do have the e-Sudio 550 manual but not all codes are the same. I ran 08-290 for the image control and it seemed to help only slightly. any ideas would be great, Thanks.

Did you check fuser? Repeating image happens when fuser roller goes bad, or neutralization lamp doesn't work/

Yes, Fuser is good, also the machine only has 130k on it. The neutralization lamp or what I learned as erase lamps (I guess we're refering to the same part) is comming on.

Check the cleaning brush in which helps with cleaning in addition to the blade. It should be nice and furry. A lot of times they get rock hard with toner build up and need to be replaced. There is a bulletin, basically improve the grounding/tighten the grounding screws with that go with this roller. Make sure the white lever is released allowing the drum blade to contact the drum. If the brush is in good shape but the blade isn't contacted it will clean for a while but then get what you are describing.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

Yes, we're talking about the same part.

Did you check what Toshiba Tech suggested?

Just had this. Order the kit that has the transfer belt in it.

Did the machine was non-working for a long period of time?
If yes,try 05-200 and make some copies(500-1000) and everything will be ok.
If no,i would suggest you to check Fuser Cleaning Web and Transfer Belt Cleaning Blade.

If its not drum cleaning fault like toshibatech suggested, I'd look at tranfer belt cleaning for repeated image and perhaps main or tranfer charge could cause some backgrounding.
