Toshiba 2830C - poor copy quality on second side only

have one out in the field and its driving us nuts.. only the second side (duplex) is giving the customer poor image .
ran manual 2 sided and no problems..I know on the Ricohs you can adjust the transfer voltage on the transfer belt for both 1 and 2 sided copying.

any ideas or help would be appreciated....

    thanks,

    Joe

I don't know if the 2830C has separate transfer voltage settings, but 2500C/3500C/3510C does, and at least on that model it does resolve poor transfer issues 2nd side on heavy media.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If the customer is using non-standard paper you can set any tray as Thick 1 Back. The "back" option means it will adjust settings to deliver a better second side transfer. But if this happens all the time on all paper types than you'll have to keep searching for a code.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
