The machine is Xerox AltaLink C8045 with 8GB SD Card.
We attempted to reset because of a password issues and when it rebooted it was stuck in a loop.
Ive tried to Altboot with USB but never pushes thru. The only thing I can think of is maybe the bad files are on the SD Card?? If I am wrong please let me know.

Thank you for your time.
Thanks, Mike
About what password do you talk ?
The printer administrator password can be reset..
We forgot the admin password and followed a video on resetting. We didn’t push Initialize when doing the first step of the video. Then followed the rest of the steps and it’s boot looping. We have a U on the led screen. I’m taking a new hdd and new altbooy usb and trying again. I’ll update when done.
U mean problems with system software, hdd or even malfunction of SBC board. Can you post the link for that video ?
This is video of B8045 restarting probably because the UI dont communicate with SBC ( sys sw failure ).
I dont see what is writed on screen.
I asked for video with reset instructions that you used.
ok on the 2nd part it says press 3 things then initialize. I didn’t press initialize. I think that’s what went wrong.
This is not a procedure for reseting admin password (from this video).
You need the reset code or file (depends on model).
Now it looks like data corrupted. Try altboot or new hdd.
When you 1st turn it on, it boots from the SD card. The display you see created on the screen is all from SD, and it then boots from HDD/SD to bring the machine fully up. The fact it says B8045 suggests that the wrong image is on the SD card in my mind?
I would reload the SD again. Here are links with the complete disk image and HDD raw which you can use to create the SD.
