    cmyk spots on dc12 drum

    Hello everybody,

maybe somebody of you have faced with this kind of problem of DC12.
CMYK spots comes on dc12 drums. Each dots comes .5mm gape in one by one at different places on the page but in one row. This happens because drum is physically damages by something. Then you taking it out you can see on the surface small scratch. What can couse this problems. It happens on the 3rd drum in the same machine.

    All developers are change.

Thanks in advance in your advices.

    DC12 traffic light spot

Are the developer assy's new? Usually caused by the developer bearings being shot in the dev. assy. itself. There is an upgrade kit available from xerox to repair if the dev roll shaft is not too worn.

Well budy, follow this steps ; What cause the spots is arcing from developer housing and drum unit cause is clearance to close . check for this
        1. Developer housing bearings all of them.
        2. If the developer housing are new check for any foreing matter and toner /developer ratio (just if you mix your own toner)

If everething is fine you must have to perform the DNR adjustment is the adjustment between the drum and develpoer housing complicated for a rookie.

        Hope this help

Check and clean the BIAS roll, DRIVE roll, BACKUP roll and CONTACT roll of the IBT assy. These may have fine foreign objects stuck on the roll itself esp. the roller that directly is in contact with the drum. The IBT belt might also be damaged slightly due to this contamination.

Hey Vicen66, try this get another developer housing bearing (the small ones) and put it together and cut the gear neck the same thick of the bearing. The second bearing compensates the shaft wear.

              Hope this help,
