GSN/edocs is being killed on 31/05/22 apparently. Interested in your views as personally I cannot understand why Xerox are replacing an old-fashioned clunky technical manuals portal with an old-fashioned clunky technical manuals portal?

I've not had any reason to use it properly yet as we only have a few Xerox out so can't comment, but just getting the few manuals I needed was painful both to start the process and the download itself..

I'm also surprised that so few people have commented on this thread or mentioned anywhere here about the new system, what am I missing?..

VERY slow! Nothing like rolling it out at the last minute, hoping all the bugs were gone.

Yes, gave up after half an hour, restarted proLibro and 20 minutes later it's still showing this:

And why in the 'My Library' view are there loads of manuals listed that I haven't downloaded and don't want!

At least you can filter it by 'Downloaded' I suppose...

Don't you know releasing manuals in PDF format will expose ALL YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND THEN THE SUN WILL REVOLVE AROUND THE EARTH AND CATS AND DOGS WILL LIVE TOGETHER!!!!!!

Yeah, pretty much. You can easily find most copier companies manuals on the web, but Xerox is pretty tough to find because of
                their edoc system.

A List style view would be much better. I really don't need all that screen real estate being taken up by a dozen copies of the proLibro logo.

Regarding the speed, mine has been so much better since the last update. Not what I'd call snappy, but not slow either.

                          Re: New edoc program coming

Hi Rich, it is amazing isn't it.. But I think you do Xerox a disservice to be honest, it must of taken an awful lot of time and 'person' hours researching and testing to eventually decide on what must be the only program in the world that would/could offer virtually no improvement whatsoever..

I have a number of times fired it up only to wait 15 minutes plus whilst it says "validating title".. I have a few customers that I can't access the internet on their network due to security policies, and with some of them there is no mobile signal to 'hotspot' from...

I wouldn't mind but there is absolutely nothing in their manuals that A.N. Other manufacturer would benefit from, so all it does is make a legit operative suffer/struggle.. what was wrong with the previous login system that would allow you to work 'offline'?...

P.S. Why have so few people commented on this thread? has it only happened in a couple of countries or is there something I'm missing?

Sometimes, I think the "suit" types think "why change it? We've always done it this way before".
Which Xrock would get its colledtive brain out of it's posterior. I know if you go looking for Xrock manuals
or anything else, it's pretty much zip, zero, nadda.
They must pay a LOT of people a lot of money to search the web for files and make whomever posted it to
                            get rid of them.

Which they would spend the money making their materials easier to obtain, and, in some small part UNDERSTAND.

I would have settled for no improvement!Sadly I think it is worse.Hopefully they can improve it before I decide to retire in about 5 years or so.

I can only imagine that Xerox are somehow excluded from the real world believing they know best. To create something as uninspiring and plain bad as this new politburo thing is in itself an achievement!
