    DC12 DC2060 image shrink

Has anyone experiеnced image shrink along the printing path direction with any of these printers? I get every A3 (Colotech) shrunk down by almost 2 mm and it is the paper that shrinks rather than the image I think, and what I can observe is that the thicker the paper the greater the effect is, so it is maybe connected to the fusing process. Is that normal?

there should be no change in image size or paper size for that matter. did you check the fuser nip pressure? . try with a different a3 media and see if you are having the same result. If its happening in both printers i think its media issue
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

yes i have seen this before in my case it was damp paper causing this. try backing off the pressure form the fuser but be careful not to back it off to much. damp paper will cause the temp in the fuser area to rise and in turn shinking the paper you see this more in A3 and SRA3 not in A4. also if you release pressure more form one side then other you will end up with shink on one side and stretch on other.

What about, instead of doing adjustments on the machine to compensate for a paper issue(damp?). Why not store your paper in a climate controlled environment? That would be the ideal situation instead of possibly damaging machine operation.

"Very true your right there" that should be the way from the start, but in some cases customers have no choice and time but to just run the job due to dead lines. and by doing the adjustment with care there is no possibly of damaging the operation. it is only a slight adjustment making sure you do not cause off setting from fuser.
