Error Code 124-314 + Technical Question

If anybody has any ideas that might help, or know how I could salvage the printer, I'd happily help in return by offering programmed backup EEPROM chips for these printers which could restore these settings if anything ever went wrong. I can easily change the product number and serial to match any printer upon request. I'd only ask enough to cover my costs.

Thank you in advance to anyone who might be able to help, this is really important to get working again as I'm sure you can understand.

Oh, thought I should add that I tried to do the "Forced NVM Initialization" by holding down Stop, Power Save and 3, but it didn't seem to do anything - I'm not sure if I did it right. By Stop does it mean suspend? (the button above start). I could successfully get it into Download Mode so I wondered what the problem was here...

The only way to fix this is to get Xerox to reprogram the boards with the correct serial number. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I can program the EEPROM with the correct serial number myself, it's just that I can't correct the IOT speed fault. Any ideas there? Obviously the boards need more than just the serial numbers.

Do you have the old parts?

If so, visit SearchLite doc # 708497 on your PWS for a possible resolution.

If not, SearchLite doc # 708497 describes what has to be done if not recoverable.

                Hi guys.

Sorry to bump, but could anyone give me their value for 700-601 on a DocuColor 240/250?

                Thanks!

I'll look that up today but I am really interested in what you have done to program the chip.

Excellent, putting the setting 65020 into the EEPROM has made the IOT speed error disappear, thank you very much! .

Unfortunately I now have Error 116-312, so I'm trying to resolve that. Argh.

                        Okay, progress is being made.

I've got the printer up and running, but it is now not accepting connections over the network.

Does anybody know how to troubleshoot this problem? It does not respond to ping requests on 10.51.71.133 (this was its IP). Is there a default IP address that it might have changed to?

Thanks again! I've been typing up all my notes on how I've programmed this information and will share it when it's all up and running.

can you go to tools and check ip address?

Yes I believe I have a bustled Fiery.

Network scanning is greyed out, and network settings does not appear under admin settings... so I'm at a bit of a loss.

I've used a network scanning tool to ping all addresses between 10.51.71.0 and 10.51.71.255 but it doesn't show up.

Tried multiple reboots, blowing the dust out of the ethernet ports, but nothing seems to work.

If I connect a monitor to the Fiery all I get is "Uncompressing Linux.... Ok, booting the kernel" but nothing afterwards, no GUI.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me .
