    5655 Fuser Overheat Error

    We have replaced the fuser twice and it still is giving us odd fuser errors. Machine clicks, then says adjusting fuser temp. Works okay, just gives this message. Error log shows fuser overheat error. Is this a power supply going south?

      I've had this happen before and i ended up replacing the power supply. Took care of it.

          What? a 56xx with a power supply problem? never!


          Just make sure you check the connector on the machine side for any bits of paper stuck there before trying a new power supply.

              The fuser triac is inside the power supply. If the fuser is good and the triac fails either 'fails on' or 'fails off' it will cause that problem.
